Guide Garage – A resource for the San Juan Mountain community
You never know who you’ll run in to at the Guide Garage – local legends, professional guides, avi forecasters, travelers – and what morsel of wisdom you might pick up while you’re here. With our casual, mountain-hut style, comfortable seating, and local beta, the Garage is a natural gathering place, and like-minded folks just seem to cross paths and connect here.
Speaking of gear, we are a backcountry centric shop and specialize in keeping your A/T, Telemark, Randonnée race and split board set-ups in top form. We focus on what we do best – artisan quality ski tuning, touring binding mounts and custom boot fitting/molding.
We are happy to tune your downhill skis and boards as well, but please note that we are not set up to mount alpine bindings. If you’re looking to maintain your Nordic gear, please stop by Bill Leo’s mountain shop in Ouray and he will be happy to take care of you.
To find out more about how we can help fine tune your gear – take a look at our services page for detailed offerings and prices. Still got questions? Feel free to message us via the website or give Gary a call.
In Good Time
We aim to provide all of the essentials for incredible days in the alpine, whether you’re out in the winter, spring, summer or fall. We’re already scouting out the best touring skis, boots and bindings for next year’s demo fleet and hope to add more BC essential items, artisan mountain goods, and GARAGE branded products to the retail mix.
